Season 5
Season 5 is 29 episodes of the core six sharks doing their thing. Kevin O’Leary, Daymond John, Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, and Robert Herjavec were all back, with guest appearances from Steve Tisch and John Paul DeJoria, the guy behind Paul Mitchell and Patron.
The biggest pitch this season was probably DoorBot, a video doorbell that let you see who’s at your door from your phone. The sharks passed on it, but the founder Jamie Siminoff rebranded it as Ring and sold it to Amazon for over a billion dollars. It’s one of the most famous “the sharks missed it” stories in the show’s history.
Other good ones from this season: DDP Yoga brought professional wrestler Diamond Dallas Page’s yoga program to the tank, Tipsy Elves did fun holiday-themed clothing, EyeBloc made webcam covers before everyone was worried about that kind of thing, and Slawsa combined coleslaw and salsa into a condiment.
